WEATHERFORD, Okla. — Kacie Sandburg had 12 kills Thursday night as Southwestern Oklahoma swept past Eastern New Mexico University 25-17, 25-14, 25-21 in a Lone Star Conference volleyball match.

The Zias (6-19, 0-5 LSC) got eight kills from senior middle blocker Megan Weitz. ENMU led 10-6 in the first game, but the Bulldogs (10-13, 2-5) went on a 9-2 run to take the lead for good.

Southwestern dominated the second game, leading 15-4 out of the games, before the Zias opend a 20-18 lead on a kill by freshman Jessica King in the third game.

Southwestern responded with a 6-0 run to get to match point. After a kill by ENMU’s Nicole Vanderploeg, Breawn Waynes’ kill finished off the match for the Bulldogs.

ENMU plays Central Oklahoma at 1 p.m. (MDT) Saturday in Edmond, Okla.
