This week at the Portales Library:

This week is Teen Read Week. The library will host a party for teen readers at 4 p.m. Tuesday. The theme this year is “Books With Bite.” Activities include a specially themed Jeopardy game, decorating (and eating!) cupcakes,  and voting for favorite books for the Teen’s Top Ten list.

Preschool Storytime 10:30 and 11:15 a.m. Wednesday. Join us for stories and songs about the moon, and make a “Moon Mobile.”

Fantastic Friday — Every Friday at 3:30 p.m. the children’s librarian will read from one of the nominees for this year’s Land of Enchantment Awards. This month we’re reading “Lawn Boy” by Gary Paulsen, author of such classics as “Hatchet” and “Tucket’s Gold.”

All programs are free and open to the public.
