Hounds shut out by St. Ed's

AUSTIN, Texas — Jeff Harlan scored off a corner kick in the 10th minute on Sunday and St. Edward’s made it stand up for a 1-0 men’s Southwest Soccer Conference victory over Eastern New Mexico University.
The Greyhounds (2-6-1, 1-4-0 SSC) put 12 shots on goal in the match to just four for the Hilltoppers (2-5, 2-3), including 10 in the second half, but St. Ed’s goalkeeper Chris Sanders was equal to the task. ENMU keeper Leif Craddock collected three saves.
The Hounds, who lost 2-1 at Friday at Midwestern State, begin a six-game homestand with a 4 p.m. SSC match against Missouri Southern on Friday at the ENMU pitch.
