Upcoming events • This year’s junior carnival will be Saturday starting at noon. There will be fun and games, bingo, concession stand, and an auction all to be held outside. Items are needed for the auction. New or handmade items are preferred. For more information, call the school at 478-2211. • School pictures will be Sept. 27. These are for the yearbook, so please dress appropriately. Volleyball, football, and cheerleading pictures will also be taken. Volleyball • Tuesday: Junior high, JV, and varsity vs. Dora Coyotes at Dora, 4:30 p.m. • Thursday: Junior high, JV and varsity vs. Fort Sumner Vixens at Floyd, 4 p.m. Football • Friday: Junior high and varsity vs. Clovis Christian Eagles in Clovis, 4:30 p.m. Fellowship of Christian Athletes FCA will start meeting on the first and third Monday of each month (unless it is a game day) at 6:30 p.m. at the Johnson’s house for refreshments and fellowship. FCA is for athletes from grades 9-12. The first meeting will be tomorrow night. For information, call Sabrina Johnson at 478-2255. Wednesday is National See You At the Pole Day. There will be a prayer at 1 p.m. during the high school lunch period at the flag pole in front of the elementary office. Constitution Day Constitution Day was Friday. Tandee Delk and Adam Terry had Don Elder, an ENMU professor and local radio personality, give a presentation on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. All middle school and high school students will attend this short presentation in honor of Constitution Day.
