Local’s death still under investigation
The death of J. C. Tucker remains under investigation, Curry County Sheriff Roger Hatcher said Friday.
Tucker, 67, was found dead in his office at Tucker Auto Sales two years ago Sunday.
Police said he was shot three times, his left-front pocket empty of the cash he always carried.
The auto-salvage yard owner was known in town as a colorful character.
“We haven’t gotten any more leads,” the sheriff said. “It’s still an open case.”
