South County News The weather was beautiful last week for the western concert of fellowship in the Milnesand Community Center last week. The program was real good and so was the food. Milnesand most always has wonderful times and I enjoy going down to see them and meet others. The southeast part of the area farmers are really getting lots of things done and plan on being ready to get seed in the ground when the calendar and ground temperature give the word. Moisture needed The ground is not dry, so to speak, as it was before this past year. However, we don’t want it that dry again. Dry land farmers sure don’t fuss about it being too wet, even when they are stuck in the mud. Update Ashley Singletary, Loretta Dicus’ granddaughter in Florida is still having test to see what is causing her health problems. She is in fourth grade and a former Dora student and Causey resident. Ailing Mavis Carmichael has had a stomach virus of some sort, for the past several days. However she says it is better as of Monday. Lela Victor missed a couple of days in the school cafeteria last week. She was back Thursday and Friday. Charlie sez This is “Nature Watch” time according to Benjamin Franklin’s almanac, so it is not a coincidence that geese were flying around a few days ago.
