Conchita Sisneros, 86 Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Portales Cemetery. Mrs. Conchita Sisneros, 86, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005, at SCCI Hospital in Amarillo. She was born on Aug. 21, 1918, in Moriarty, to Maria and Marciso Chavez. She grew up in LaPalma. She married Casimiro Sisneros on Sept. 16, 1944, in Santa Rosa. They lived in Santa Rosa until 1956 when they moved to Portales. About three years ago she moved to Amarillo. She attended Trinity Fellowship and New Life Fellowship in Amarillo. Family members said she enjoyed raising animals, gardening and quilting. Family members said she enjoyed watching Christian television and was an excellent cook. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, John, James, Andy, Secundino and Mike Chavez; a son, Ernest Sisneros; a daughter, Mary Cruz Lucero; and her husband, Casimiro. Survivors include three sons, Joe Sisneros and Robert Sisneros, both of Amarillo and Fred Sisneros (and wife, Martha) of Las Cruces; four daughters, Lucy Sanchez of Hobbs, Margaret Sotello (Oscar) of Portales, and Susan Lann (David) and Theresa Sisneros, all of Amarillo; 23 grandchildren including a granddaughter who was raised in the home, Gloria Ann Collins (James) of Sacramento, Calif.; a grandson, Tony Sisneros of Rio Rancho; and 13 great-grandchildren. David Lann, Tony Sisneros and Ernest Jaramillo will officiate the services. Pallbearers are Michael Lucero Jr., Joe Sam Sisneros Jr., Tony Soliz, Johnny Sanchez, Ervy Enriquez and Nino Ortega. Arrangements are by Wheeler Mortuary of Portales.
