Clay Anderson of Floyd was involved in a car accident at approximately 7:59 a.m. on Wednesday at mile marker four of New Mexico Highway 267, according to the New Mexico State police officials. Sylvia Lopez, driver of a 2000 Ford pickup, made a left hand turn and hit Anderson, who was in a 1997 Nissan, head on, according to the New Mexico State police. Anderson broke his leg in the car accident and was transported to Lubbock. New Mexico State police officials said they did not have age information on the drivers or which hospital Anderson was transported to.
