CARLSBAD — The Carlsbad Cavemen took four of six matches in doubles Thursday and held on for a 5-4 victory over Clovis High in a District 4-5A tennis dual.
Carlsbad won the girls dual 8-1.
The Wildcats got wins in singles from Andy North at No. 1 and Charlie Sharp at No. 4, and doubles victories from North and Nate Carter at No. 1 and Seth Zarate and Sharp at No. 2.
Meantime, the Cavegirls cruised to victory on the girls side. The lone Clovis win was a three-set 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 victory by Audie Rodela over Megan Harmeson at No. 2 singles.
Clovis teams are back in action on Tuesday, hosting district duals against Hobbs set to begin at 3 p.m.
