Difference: Fort Sumner had no problem with the outmanned Falcons, scoring seven times in the first 1 1/2 quarters en route to a 57-0 halftime lead.
Difference-makers: RB Anthony Griffin scored three touchdowns and rushed for 187 yards. Braeden Dimitroff and Berry Stinnett each scored twice for the Foxes.
Melrose 82, Dora 14

Impact: Melrose, ranked No. 1 in 8-man, scored 46 points in the first quarter against the second-year Coyotes.
Difference-makers: Senior Lane Draper scored five touchdowns for the Buffaloes — four in the first quarter. Included were a 45-yard interception return and a 78-yard kickoff return. … Junior Hayden Huber scored twice, one on an 80-yard kickoff return.
Go figure: The Buffs were successful on eight of 11 2-point conversions.
