ENMU recruiter to visit Thursday

Stephanie McClary of Eastern New Mexico University will be on campus Thursday to talk with PHS seniors interested in attending ENMU for the fall 2009 semester.  Students interested in speaking with jer may sign-up in the counseling and guidance office no later than Wednesday.

College exams

Seniors interested in attending a 4-year university after graduation must take a college entrance exam, either the ACT or the SAT. The next ACT will be given Dec. 13. Deadline to register is November 7. The next SAT will be given Dec. 6. The deadline to register is Nov. 5. The late-deadline to register is Nov. 18; an additional charge will be required.
Seniors should also be deciding which college(s) they intend on applying to as well as obtaining scholarship information.

Scholarships

Available scholarships are posted on the Portales Schools Web site in the schools section under Portales High School, Counselors Corner. Students can visit the counseling and guidance office for more information about college entrance exams, college admissions, and scholarships.
