Annual holiday concert planned for Friday

Eastern New Mexico University will hold its annual holiday concert at 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m Friday at the University Theater Center on the main stage. Various holiday pieces will be performed under the direction of Dr. Jason Paulk.

Tickets are $5; free admission for ages under 18 or with ENMU ID card.

Presbyterian Campus House will serve meal

A free Christmas chili supper for Eastern New Mexico University students, faculty and staff is set for 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Presbyterian Campus House Tuesday.

Money management help offered at CUB

On the Plus Side is offering a chance to eat lunch and learn about financial issues in the Sandia Room of the Campus Union Building Tuesday.

MetLife representative Nikki Lingelbach is to talk about managing credit, eliminating debt and saving for the future.

Learn simple techniques to safeguard your credit score, use credit wisely, and build savings. Subject matter is presented in a format that is easy to understand, regardless of financial knowledge.

Doors open for lunch at 11:30 a.m. and the presentation will begin at noon.

New actors to perform in showcase event

A Beginning Acting Showcase is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Studio Theatre of the University Theatre Center. Admission is free.

The performance will last about 30 minutes.

Commercialization film to be shown Tuesday

“What Would Jesus Buy?” is scheduled to show at 7:30 Tuesday in Room 120 of the Education Building as part of the Human Rights Film Series. Admission is free.

From producer Morgan Spurlock, producer of “Super Size Me,” “What Would Jesus Buy?” examines the commercialization of Christmas in America while following the Reverend Billy and The Church of Stop Shopping Gospel Choir on a cross-country mission to save Christmas from the “shopocalypes.”

Food from Pakistan will be served.

Toy drive being held through next week

Rychus Rythum Music would like people to bring a toy for an underprivileged child to the Campus Union Building lobby and receive a free CD through Dec. 12.
