Scholarships will be awarded

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office and the New Mexico Sheriff’s Association will be awarding three scholarships to area students. Sheriff Darren Hooker announced Friday he is able to award three $500 scholarships. Graduating seniors from the Dora, Elida and Floyd schools are to receive the scholarships.

A panel of sheriffs from across the state is set to select the winning student.
