Cannon power to be shut down for repairs

Electricity at Cannon Air Force base will shut down from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday for repairs to the power grid, according to a base news release.

Non-mission essential personnel are ordered to stand by and not report for duty until directed by their commanders, according to the release.

The following services and offices will be closed:

MWR Activities,

Bank

Credit Union

Library

Community Center

The base clinic

AAFES/Shoppette/Commissary

Chavez Child Development Center
