Donald “Doc” Elder III, Eastern New Mexico University professor of history, wrote a book review for the September/October issue of the journal “Space Times.”
He reviewed “Digital Apollo: Human and Machine in Spaceflight” by David Mindell.
Robin Wells and Michael F. Shaughnessy of the Educational Studies Department had an article titled “An Interview with Anita Woolfolk Hoy and Wayne K. Hoy: About Instructional Leadership” scheduled to be published Monday in the Academic Leadership Online Journal.
Program deadline extended to sponsor child
The Associated Students Activities Board has extended the deadline through today to sponsor a child in the Hanging of the Greens program.
The Christian Children’s Home children have been sponsored.
ASAB has now received the Baptist Children’s Home list and is looking for 22 sponsors.
To sponsor a child: visit the ASAB office in the Campus Union Building or the CUB lobby from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
KENW seeks drive volunteers
KENW- TV’s Winterfest 2009 membership drive is coming up. Community members can volunteer to answer telephones for a few hours during Nov. 28 – Dec. 7.

ENMU hosting ‘Acts of Volition’ art show
ENMU is to hold the art show “Acts of Volition” in Golden Library’s Runnels Gallery from Monday through Dec. 3. A closing reception is set for 5-7 p.m. Dec. 3.
The show’s theme, Runnels Gallery Manager Christopher Calderon said, is how people use art to cope.
Nine student artists will display at least two pieces, and one artist will create his own artistic “environment” in a section of the room.
The exhibit is free and open to the public, and will be open during regular library hours.

Native American Month celebration set
Activities for Native American Heritage Month are set to finish next week.
Monday: Bachata/Salsa Workshop: Hispanic Affairs will present a Bachata/Salsa dance workshop at 6 p.m. Monday in the CUB Ballroom. The instructors will be Cannon Air Force Base Staff Sgt. Victor Lozada and ENMU student Jazmin Loya.
