Cannon hosting First Friday event

CANNON AIR FORCE BASE — Cannon will host its monthly First Friday event from 5-8 p.m. Friday at The Landing.

First Friday is an informal, family-friendly event where individuals from on and off base can meet, mingle and dine at The Landing.

Military members and local residents will have the opportunity to pose questions to the commander on virtually any subject and for military members to pose questions to the community.

“I envision First Friday as a place where the Clovis and Portales communities, military members, and their spouses and children will get to know one another,” said Col. Timothy Leahy, 27th Special Operations Wing commander. “I also want it to be an informal town hall meeting where I will always give you a straight answer.”
