• Charles Paiz, 36, pled guilty to charges of aggravated driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor, second offense (.16 or greater) and to a charge of abuse of a child (negligently permitted, no death or great bodily injury). He was sentenced to eight days in jail, to one year of supervised probation, ordered to perform community service, ordered to have an interlock ignition device installed in his vehicle, ordered to attend a MADD Victim’s Impact Panel and to pay court costs and fees.
• Rebecca Valdez, 37, pled guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit trafficking by distribution and possession of a controlled substance. She was sentenced to paroled supervision of one year for each account, was ordered to follow special conditions and pay court costs and fees.
• Jorge Vargas, 31, pled guilty to charges of possession of a controlled substance, to wit-cocaine. The defendant was sentenced to one year of paroled supervision, ordered to complete substance abuse counseling and treatment, to follow special conditions and pay court costs and fees.
