Clovis firefighters responded to a call about 4:30 p.m. Friday at 803 Hinkle to find heavy flames and smoke coming from an apartment, according to Dale Hand, battalion chief at Clovis Fire Station One.
According to Hand:
• There were no injuries.
• Thirteen firefighters extinguished the fire in 50 minutes.
• There was major damage to both apartments at the residence.
• The fire did not affect neighboring homes.
• The fire started in the south apartment where two occupants were living.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
