Fire cause undeterminable

A New Mexico State Forestry Division investigator has ruled the cause of the grassfire southwest of Causey on April 9 could not be determined, according to Roosevelt County Sheriff Darren Hooker.
Hooker said the investigator was able to approximate a point of origin, but couldn’t find the cause. The fire burned 1,300 acres and a home in two hours.
