KENW program invites questions regarding TV switch

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

KENW-TV Channel 3 will host a call-in program Monday on the topic of the switch-over from analog to digital television.

From 8-9 p.m., the station will broadcast some of the calls on Channel 3.

Duane Ryan, director of broadcasting for KENW, said that there is a lot of confusion about what’s going to happen on the official switch over date, planned for Feb. 17, 2009. He said the show is intended to help everyone understand how the process works and what they will need to do to deal with the change.

Ryan said that the station has prepared for the switch by building digital translators in several cities such as Hobbs, Roswell, Tucumcari, Clovis and Fort Sumner.

To call in, dial 1-888-367-5369. The station will take calls from 8-9 p.m.
