Comments 0 | Recommend 0

A 24-year-old Clovis man was sentenced Friday to 13 years in prison for child molestation, according to the district attorney’s office.

Nathaniel Allen Steward pleaded guilty Thursday to charges of criminal sexual penetration of a minor and two counts of criminal sexual contact of a minor, court records show.

According to a press release:

• It was the second time in 10 years Steward was convicted on similar charges.

• In April 2008, law enforcement was notified that the mother of a 13-year-old victim had allowed Steward to move into her home and that her child was exhibiting withdrawn behavior.

• When interviewed, the child revealed sexual abuses and Steward was arrested.

• Steward will be required to serve 20 years supervised probation following his release from prison.
