Thursday morning briefing: Hitting the green chile cheeseburger trail
Good morning and welcome to Freedom New Mexico’s Thursday briefing.
Cheeseburger, cheeseburger
Turns out Taco Box in Clovis and Portales has some hot stuff going with its local version of green chile cheeseburgers.
The stores are among 48 restaurants selected by the state for its first Green Chile Cheeseburger Trail, celebrating the state’s iconic burger.
Restaurants were selected from nearly 200 nominees statewide by a combination popular vote and a panel of culinary and tourism authorities.
Taco Box joins wildly renowned spots like The Owl Bar & Café in San Antonio, Bobcat Bite outside Santa Fe, and Bert’s Burger Bowl in the heart of Santa Fe.
Wild about bass?
