Plan you escape

Woman’s Day Out in Portales is billed as a day to “pamper yourself and spend a day with the girls.”

It’s 8 a.m. Saturday at ENMU Greyhound Arena.

It features more than 15 workshops including gardening, plastic surgery, and jewelry making.

There are also vendors selling clothes, home decor, candles, jewelry and much more.

Tickets $20 at the door.

Easter notice

Not too soon to plan...the annual Clovis Zoo Easter egg hunt is 11 a.m. April 3.

The zoo folks say they’ll plant more than 4,000 eggs.
