Rotary governor to visit region

The governor of Rotary District 5520 will make an official visit to the Rotary Clubs of Clovis, Melrose and Texico/Farwell this week.

Gov. Tom Lindsay, a Deming real estate business owner and speech language pathologist, is coming to the area as part of his effort to visit all 68 clubs in the district during his term.

Rotary International, a service club organization, has more than 1.2 million members who volunteer their time and talents to further the Rotary motto, “Service Above Self,” the release said.

Lindsay will visit:

• Rotary Club of Clovis High Plains — Noon Tuesday at Leal's Mexican Food Restaurant.

• Rotary Club of Melrose — 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Melrose High School Board Room.

• Rotary Club of Texico/Farwell — Noon Wednesday at the Spur Restaurant in Texico.

• Rotary Club of Clovis — Noon Thursday, Central Baptist Church.
