Homicide suspect believed to be in Portales

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Department is seeking public help locating a homicide suspect believed to be in Portales.
Fernando Lopez is wanted for questioning in connection with a homicide case in Carlsbad.
Sheriff’s Deputy Malin Parker said Lopez is in his thirties has a thin mustache and short hair. He is approximately 5-foot, 6-inches tall and weighs around 180 pounds.
Anyone with information can call the Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Department, Eddy County Crimestoppers (575/887-1888) or Lt. Brian Burns at the Carlsbad Law Enforcement Center (575/885-2111, Ext. 222).
