Police chief finalists down to three

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

The list of police chief finalists is down to three, City Manager Joe Thomas said on Friday.

Face-to-face interviews will be conducted Monday with Interim Police Chief Michael Ingram of Clovis and Steven Sanders of Northglenn, Colo., Thomas said.

Jan Cary, of Titusville, Fla., will be interviewed Friday, he said.

Thomas said a round of telephone interviews has already been completed and the list narrowed from eight.

Interviews are being conducted by Thomas, a representative from the district attorney’s office and a retired police officer.

Thomas would not identify the other members of the panel.

A decision could come as early as next Friday following the final interview but will likely come the following week, Thomas said.
