The Southeastern New Mexico Sandhills Fun Walk-Run will be held Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. at the Pep Community Building.


The day starts off at 9 a.m. with a Halloween costume contest, followed by a 5K and one mile walk-run. Other events include a kids’ wagon pull, wheel chair race, and stick-pony race.


Entry fee is $10 per person or $50 per family. Proceeds benefit the Southeastern New Mexico Oldtimers’ Association, which is raising funds to improve the Pep Community Building.


Sign up in advance at the Pep Community Building or the Roosevelt County Chamber of Commerce.
