ENMU signs volleyball player

Vanessa Espinoza, a 5-foot-5 defensive specialist from Los Alamos, has signed a national letter of intent to play volleyball next season at Eastern New Mexico University.

Espinoza lettered for four years at Los Alamos, earning all-district first-team and Class 4A second-team all-state honors last fall and helping the Hilltoppers to the 4A state title.

The versatile Espinoza played setter-outside hitter as a sophomore and right side hitter as a junior.
