RICHARDSON, Texas — Junior libero Caitlin Murphy of Amarillo represented Eastern New Mexico University on the All-Lone Star Conference second team in volleyball, selections announced Thursday by the league office.
Murphy set an ENMU record with 661 digs for the season. Her 5.51 digs per game were second in the LSC and 10th in NCAA Division II.
Four ENMU players also received LSC all-academic honors — senior Vanessa Wilcox, junior Heidi Geyer and sophomores Grace Brandt and Karen McIntyre.
Rodrigues first-team All-SSC choice
RICHARDSON, Texas — Sophomore forward Emerson Rodrigues has been chosen to the All-Southwest Soccer Conference first-team for the recently completed season.
Rodrigues, a transfer from Oklahoma Baptist who hails from Brazil, led the Greyhounds (6-10-2, 3-4-1 SSC) with nine goals this season, including three multi-goal efforts.
Senior defender Michael James of Gloucester, England, and freshman midfielder Luis Castaneda of Gadsden represented ENMU on the second team. James was second on the team with four goals.
Earlier this week, the Daktronics All-Souh Central Region squad had James on the first team and Rodrigues on the second team.
