Officials expect 1-3 inches of snow this afternoon

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for snow in Curry County. Officials said snow will develop this morning and continue throughout the afternoon. One to 3 inches of snow is expected, mainly over the southern portion of Curry County, NWS reported. Officials urged travelers to expect snow-covered roads and limited visibility.

Roosevelt County inmate escapes, is recaptured
