Blackwater Draw museum closing for winter break

Freedom New Mexico Eastern New Mexico University’s Blackwater Draw Museum will close for winter break from 5 p.m. Wednesday until 10 a.m. Jan. 4. The museum is on U.S. 70 approximately 7 miles north of Portales near Greyhound Stadium. Information: Matt Hillsman at 562-2202.

ENMU closes for Thanksgiving

PNT staff Eastern New Mexico University is closing for Thanksgiving break from Wednesday through Sunday. The university’s Golden Library will be open from noon to midnight on Sunday, according to a news release from ENMU. The campus is set re-open and classes to resume Nov. 30.

Spring break All Dora students are on Spring Break until April 6. Testing after spring break Students in third through eighth and eleventh grades are taking the New Mexico Standards-Based Assessment each morning from April 7-14. The tests will be administered from 8:30 -11:30 am.
