Dec. 23, 1941: The Portales Daily News: J.T. Tollett of the Rogers community had seven registered Herefords that ranged from 12-22 months of age and which had been pedigreed for four generations. These young bulls were pets. When one received attention, others came up until the person was surrounded by bulls.
