Pavalok John A. Pavalok of Portales recently graduated from the Naval Officer Training School in Newport, R.I., and has been commissioned as O-1 Ensign and will be assigned to Pensacola, Fla., for pilot training to become a naval aviator. He is the son of George and Mary Pavalok of Portales.
McAlavy Donald K. McAlavy of St. Petersburg, Fla. celebrated his 80th birthday on Dec. 30 in Largo, Fla. The celebration was hosted by Kim (McAlavy) Siewert, it was a suprise western themed party.
