Douglas Sharon and Bernard Douglas will celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary Dec. 15. The couple married Dec. 15, 1980, in Clovis. They have two daughters, Tiffany Forrest (Andrew) and Kimberly Wormington (Stuart). In addition they have three grandsons, two granddogs, and one grandbunny. Sharon is employed at Los Ninos and Bernard is retired military.
May 4, 1955: The Elida Tigers won the regional Class B baseball championship with a 13-3 win over Forrest. Ronald Berry had a first-inning grand slam to set the pace for Elida, which qualified for the state tournament with the win.
