Roosevelt County Hospital Board has scheduled its regular meeting for 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the hospital. Agenda items include nursing services and medical staff reports. Administrator James D’Agostino will also have reports related to rural health clinics, recruitment and legislative actions.

The big news in Portales was that Robert Sharp, the 17-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. R. T. Sharp of Roosevelt County, fractured his leg after colliding with a truck driven by 14-year-old Ray Barbar at the Blankenship and Ohio streets intersection. Sharp was admitted to the Lehman hospital.
